Another day of In Service Inspection and Test. Can you see the issues here?

It's so important to get your equipment inspected once a year. So why choose us? Well, unfortunately, there are companies who sometimes like to cut corners and will not always open up sockets to look inside. When carrying out PAT Testing we open every plug and check every fuse. When doing this we often get clients looking surprised and saying that the previous company never did that. The simple truth is that to PAT Testing cannot be carried out properly without opening up plugs and checking fuses.

Why do they do this? Mainly to save money. The faster they can test appliances, the more they can test, and the more they can charge.

Another half term, another school service and inspection. This service consisted of:

- Testing over 120 dimming circuits for continuity and insulation resistance ✅️
- Over 70 generic lanterns throughly cleaned and ISIT formally (PAT) ✅️
- 8 Dimmers inspected and tested ✅️
- All lighting bars cleaned and inspected ✅️

All of our inspectors hold a full Enhanced DBS certificate. Along with PASMA, IPAF, Motor Inspection qualifications, advanced work at height and climbing certificates. Part B Electrical Installation and In Service Inspection Qualifications.

300° C is the minimum temperature for dust to ignite and cause a fire. A 1000w lamp can reach a touch temperature of over 280° C. This is very close to the burning temperature of dust. It is vitally important to get your theatre lighting serviced regularly.
